In late 2024, we launched our Insight & Influence e-newsletter to share information and updates on Harrisburg happenings and those with across the state. Now we've moved to the next level with a companion podcast, also called Insight & Influence.

Episode 11 of the C & G Strategies podcast, Insight and Influence, is now live.

Join us for an engaging conversation with Matt Galluzzo of Riverlife about the work that this Pittsburgh-based non-profit is doing along the region’s riverfronts. Matt and C & G Strategies’ Rob Vescio also talk about the Waterfront Development Tax Credit program. Riverlife’s advocacy was critical to the creation of the program. Since that time, they’ve also been engaged with subsequent amendments to the program, including a current ask to increase the percentage of tax credit and the cap on the program. While Riverlife advocated for the program’s creation, it is helping communities across the state, large and small, incentivize investment in their waterways.

Part 2 of the podcast is a conversation between C & G Strategies’ David Caliguiri and Rep. Emily Kinkead about why she is introducing the legislation to amend the Waterfront Development Tax Credit program and its impact across the state. Rep Kinkead also talks about how a recent hearing of the House Democratic Policy Committee on Shore Thing, Riverlife’s newest riverfront destination, highlighted the work that has come about as a result of this program.
